I'd love to see it, but much like Starship Troopers I expect any Hollywood adaptation to fall flat on its face, at least in comparison to the original. Ridley Scott is the wrong director -- FW is NOT about testosterone.

Well Scott directed Blade Runner and Alien, which were hardly testosterone-filled movies. They had action, but blended well with the SF elements. Frankly, I'm hopeful.

Aye, the thing is, Ridley has told Hollywood, repeatedly to go stuff itself, and let him do what HE "sees".

Hence he's one of the few who may be able to do this.
Hollwyood sucks huge currently, all has to be so smooth, hip, perfect, beautiful...stupid...uuuuugh!!!

So I@m looking forward to it! Damn I love that story.

While I'm not entirely sure Ridley Scott can make a film about the kind of alienation that drives the book --the kind that comes from a culture and it's people changing rather than it's imposing-looking technology-- I'm confident the end result will be interesting.

Maybe Cameron would have been a better choice. His Aliens is basically a Vietnam movie set in space.
