Ring of Spell Storing

It says the spell stored uses the minimum caster level but it doesn't mention minimum casting stat or anything else. Does a Ring of Spell Storing "remember" the characteristics of the spell other than caster level (ie. feats, INT).

As an example: if a cleric with Augment Healing cast a Cure Light Wounds into the ring, would it later come out of the ring as d8+1 or d8+3 (assuming someone else cast it out of the ring)?

Likewise would a smart wizard casting Charm Person into the ring allow the dumb fighter to later cast it with a decent save DC?

My assumption is that the ring is 'memory-less' and so uses the minimum caster level and stat (and no feats). I want to make sure before I start using the item though...

Presumably it works like wands and scrolls that have a minimum caster level and a minimum stat to cast a spell of the level of the spell stored. You can store metamagic spells, so it might be an argument to say that it could be a spell affected by augment healing, although that's not really a property of the spell, but more of the caster. My gut says no memory - jsut minimum caster, minimum stat and no funny 'caster related' business.

Unless stated in the description, spell items use the minimum ability score required to cast the spell. For example, if your Ring of Spell Storing had a fireball, which is a level 3 spell, the minimum ability score to cast the spell is 13 (10 + spell level), therefore the spell is cast as if you had 13 Intelligence (for example) and therefore the save DC would be 14 (10 + spell level (3) +ability bonus (+1 for 13 Int)).

A Cure light wounds spell would heal 1d8 +1 (level 1 being the mimimum caster level)

The Charm person would have a save of 11 (10 + spell level (1) +ability bonus (+0 for 11 Int)).

Absolutely right.

The only ways to compensate for this when using low level spells are:

1. Use Heighten Spell to bring the caster level up to a higher spell level, then cast into the ring.

2. Use one or more metamagic feats to raise the spell into a higher level slot, then cast into the ring.
