I'm considering the damage non-lethal, which I suppose is what you agreed on.</p><p>Joe: the vegetation is indeed unpassable terrain(not partially occupied squares) so you can't get total cover; however, I'll adjudicate in a way (indirectly) favorable for you and won't let your readied action trigger since the Elf dropped.
