[sblock=Saving my Bacon]Getting me away from the dragon won't help, I don't think; it can fly after me wherever I go. On the other hand, I have a reasonable shot of surviving if it breathes on me: it has to hit my Will of 19 (50/50), then roll 9 or better on 2d6 (~28%). So if I get breathed on, I have about six chances in seven of staying awake. Same odds for a claw attack, except a bit better as its to-hit bonus is one less. On the other hand, if the panther gets to charge me I'm probably boned; my odds of avoiding its attack are less than even and if it connects, I'm done. I don't think there's anywhere I can go in 7 squares that's out of move+charge range, either. So here's an idea, and you guys tell me if it's crazy. As a minor action, I sustain Astral Condemnation. Then I Life Transference Ikni, giving her 18 hp and knocking myself unconscious. After the monsters go, she wakes me up with her potion in time to sustain Astral Condemnation again. I don't have my books in front of me, so I can't tell if sustaining works that way (somebody please check on that!), but if it does it might buy us a turn in which to...I don't know, do something. ETA: if this plan is legal, we may be able to take it a step further: instead of LTing right away, I ready an action to do so when I'm attacked, forcing one of our enemies to burn an action in a way that includes me. But I don't know if readied actions work that way, either. Ikni's mark is much better on the panther than the dragon, as it has no multi-target capability and will have a hard time charging her without drawing AoOs. Once I'm down, Ikni and the panther square off and everyone else beats on the dragon.[/sblock]
