Rings Elemental Resistance, Major/Minor

First Post
The Ring of Elemental Resistance, Major states "This amount is enough to survive even on the Elemental Plane corresponding to the energy type (if applicable)". I'm curious, would the Ring of Elemental Resistance, Minor (Cold) grant enough protection from temperatures below 40 degrees? How about below 0 degrees (though I doubt it would)?

Eh? Just buy a warm coat. Texas sissy!! Up here in Wisconsin 0 degrees is an almost daily occurance in dead winter and I see little girls building snowmen outside every day!! -20 below and they MAYBE cancel kindergarden!! :)

More seriously - yes it would protect against cold. In a few rooms in the temple of EE they say that it deals cold damage unless protected by an endure cold spell, or winter gear.

Even what we consider very cold climates would only inflict a point of damage every few minutes. It many hours for a healthy adult to die of exposure in a freezing blizzard.

Endure elements should be quite adequate for any weather you will find on the planet Earth, hot or cold.
