Rings of Being Located (need price!)

To make a long story short, the characters are in the middle of a forest making things difficult for people. They tend to march in a perfect lightning bolt/fireball formation. The enemy has spellcasters, but they don't go on patrol. So they need a way of pinpointing the location and commencing the ass-woopin'.

My idea: Two magical rings. One locater, the other located, using the detect object spell as a base. The wearer of the locater ring and speaking a command word gets all of his detect object spells Enlarged (perhaps stacking with normal enlarged, for triple range? And perhaps extended as well?) if and only if they're cast at the located ring. Perhaps a bonus to his caster level- with Extended, each +1 to caster level adds 80 feet.

The question: What do you think this should be priced at? Since I posed a lot of hypotheticals, I'll narrow it down:

Rings of Location: Each ring of this two-ring set has the same sigil-generally the mark of the caster who made it, or the caster's god- set in it in relief.. One, however, has it sticking out; the other has it set within. The two rings, if placed sigil to sigil, connect perectly. Additionally, the "located" ring (the one with the relief sticking out) is made of a shiny material such as silver or gold. The other (or "locater" ring) is made of something like obsidian or dulled steel that seems to absorb light more than reflect it.

Any caster wearing the locater ring and speaking the command word casts any locate object spell cast within the next round as if it was affected with the Enlarge Spell metamagic feat, doubling the range. This has no effect if the spell is already enlarged.
Prerequisites: Locate Object, Enlarge Spell, Caster Level 5, Forge Ring.

Just a thought, but "amulet of inescapable location", a cursed item that gives -10 on all saves vs divination only costs 1000gp.

Cursed items are way too cheap in the first place (WOTC forgot one of its own golden rules... one man's trash is another man's treasure)

I'd say make it where one ring can automatically know the location of the other ring. It would based on discern location with a big divider in the price since its only on one object.

Since a bracelet of friends can teleport up to four friends to your location, and its 19k, I'd say that's a good price to start with.
 

Hmm. My thought was something fairly cheap- something you don't mind just tossing at your enemies (they have the ring now, incidentally, whatever it does). And also usable by someone too low level to cast scry (the lacky is going after them, not the head honcho).

But thanks for the advice. 1000, even if underpriced, sounds about right, if you accept that cursed items are underpriced (although I'm a bit skeptical- all you have to do is remove the ring, after all. It's a bit like trying to Dispel one of those always-on effects that monsters have and can resume as a free action). If they're not underpriced, it's still a good baseline, especially since it could be used by two allies to find each other, and it doesn't have to be worn (just put in someone's possesion). Yeah, 1,000 sounds good.
