Risus...Sherpa...Fate...d20 (lite)? What is best for PBEM?

Hello,
Thought I would ask opinions here on which system people recommend for PBEM game.

I like rules lite system, but not overly loose. For the players, something resembling a small d20 skill list.
Presently I am looking at Risus. It allows players to define their own abilities which makes up for the email format taking dice away. I also like the invoking aspect mechanics for Fate. It too puts control in the hands of the players.

Are there any others out there I might want to look into?

Risus. It uses one central roll to resolve everything, which makes processing active turns very easy. And, of course, it doesn't take very long to generate an adventure-appropriate PC. I've played in a few Risus PBEM games that went swimmingly (one was very serious horror in 1880s East London, one was comedic military space-opera in the far future, and the remaining game was somewhat comedic modern horror in the vein of Hellboy).
