I currently have the following feat under review for the Netbook of Feats. Anyone have any comments?
RITUAL CASTING [General]

You know how to cast a spell from a scroll or spell book.
Prerequisite: Spellcaster level 1st+.
Benefit: You can cast a spell from a spell book or from a scroll. If casting from a spell book the book does not have to be your spell book and the spell does not have to be in your spell book. If casting from a scroll the spell does not disappear from the scroll. Although ritual casting does not use up a spell slot, you must devote time to the ritual casting, similar to creating a magic item any interruption ruins the ritual and still costs you the raw materials and XP. In order to perform a ritual casting you must:
1) You must have previously deciphered the spell with a successful read magic or spellcraft check(DC 20 + spell level).
2) You must use the appropriate material components (if applicable) and XP expenditure even if using a scroll.
3) You must study and understand the spell (spellcraft check DC 15 + spell level). The time to do this is included in the ritual casting time.
4) If the caster level of the scroll (or the minimum caster level for the spell if casting from a spell book) is greater than your caster level you must make a caster level check (DC = caster level of spell + 1) to cast the spell successfully. If you fail the caster level check you must make a Wisdom check (DC 5) to avoid a mishap. If a mishap occurs use the scroll mishaps in the DMG p. 203
5) The base price of ritually casting a spell is spell level multiplied by caster level multiplied by 25 gp. To cast a ritual cast you must spend 1/25 of this base price in XP and use up raw materials costing half of this base price. The ritual casting takes 1 day for every 1000 gp in base price, with a minimum of 1 day. These cost are incurred even if the casting has failed.
Ritual Casting has many of the same restrictions and requirements as casting a spell from a scroll. To have any chance of ritual casting you must meet the following requirements:
1) The source of the spell must be of the correct type (arcane or divine). Arcane spellcasters cannot cast divine spells from a scroll, nor can divine spellcasters cast arcane spells in this manner.
2) The user must have the spell on his or her class list.
3) The user must have the requisite ability score
