Roaring Twenties

I'll be starting up a new D20 Modern campaign set in Chicago during the 1920's. I have a great module and battle-mats from TSR's old "Gangbusters" game to use for the setting. I was wondering if anybody else has run a D20 Modern campaign set in this place and era and what suggestions you might have to pass on.

Even if you don't use the Mythos I find that Call of Cthulu material has tons of resources for a 1920s game - given that its basically the default setting.

You might want to check out Adamant Entertainment's Thrilling Tales line. Specifically, you might find the Ace Reporter, Boxer, Femme Fatale, G-Man, Gumshoe, Gun Moll, and Mobster advanced classes useful. The Thrilling Tales Omnibus also has weapons and vehicles from the 20s/30s.

You might also want to look at d20 Past.

I would suggest researching some Mobster/Prohibition/Bootlegging info... Al Capone for instance. Grab that movie "the Untouchables" for some good inspiration.

Is your campaign going to be pure historical, or mixed with fantasy/horror/early sci-fi? I agree that Cthulu style horror is a great add-on, or some Ghost Story style horror.

1920's Investigators Companion for CoC. This is nothing but great info of the time and if it didn't have CoC on the cover you'd really never know it was written for that game.

Timeline roaring 20's is also very good. I have a review of that on RPGNow it seems. :D.

It was your review Chris that prompted me to buy it. :)

I have some C. of C. source books already that I am planning to use.
