Robotech/Macross plus and now with jovian chronicals

Does anyone know if there will be a d20 system of robotech coming out. I recently saw Macross plus (again great movie!!) and am really geared up to play it. My dm created a d20ish system years ago but was wondering if there was something more....professional coming out.

Just use Mekton. Pretty good system that was made with anime in mind. D20 isn't really an anime system.

Macross plus rocks to :)

Whats Mekton?

my god someone else that knows about Mekton?... sweet... ohwell.. too bad I dont play anymore.. but yes. Mekton is geared more twords Anime Mecha RPing. its made by (or at least was and I hope still is) R.Talsorian.

if Mekton doesnt do it for you.. have a look see at Heavy Gear. it might not adapt as easily to the variable fighters of Macross and Robotech but the mechanics are solid and if you adapted the World some you could still have alot of fun using Heavy Gears Silloette System.

Well, Palladiumbooks who held the Robotech contract for so many years has let it go, so it's out there if someone wanted to buy it.

I think d20 would havea hard time with the mecha's. As for the anime feel, well, that's more important for the DM to and the Pcs to be able to do. THew system is just a means to an end, the people hold the real power on what it can and can't do.

Forget about Mekton and the Fuzion System!

For a really good anime RPG play

Big Eyes Small Mouth 2nd Ed

If you´re into anime you`ll LOVE it!!

It´s simply the best.

It´s published by Guardians of Order.

Big eyes small mouth is good for anime in general. Mekton is infinately superior for someone that would like to design their own mechs (or convert some).

The rules are a little complicated for making a mech from scratch but it keeps them balanced and you have everything you need, including transformation abilities.

Mekton is great. You can build just about anything with that system. I don't think I've ever seen something that couldn't be but into game mechanics using it. And it's generic enough that you could use it to cover, well,...anything really. There are better games for certain genres of course, but when it comes to mecha, mekton is the way to go in my opinion.
