[RoF] Spellsinger -- I am confused...

One of the prereqs for spellsingers is spontaneous casting.

One of the benefits is the ability to swap out previously memorized spells for other spells.

So...why does a bardic prestige class get the "special feature" of spontaneous casting when they are already spontaneous casting?

Here, check it out again with added emphasis on the important bits:

Spellsingers can "lose" a prepared arcane spell in order to cast any arcane enchantment spell of one or more levels lower that is on their spell list. This works just as a cleric's spontaneous casting class feature. Arcane spells that do not need to be prepared can also be "lost" in this fashion, although spellsong simple grants the ability to replace a spell with a lower level arcane enchantment spell from the character's spell list.

You don't have to know the spell yourself, it just has to appear on your class's list of available spells. It basically gives a sorcerer or bard access to all enchantment spells of one level lower than their highest available spell level.

And I *still* think the save DC's are to low
Yeah, it looks like they forgot the 10 base part of the DC guidelines.

Normal charm person cast by a sorc/spellsinger w/ 18(+4 mod) charisma: 10 +1(spell level) +4(charisma mod) = DC 15.

Spellsung charm person cast by the same sorc/spellsinger w/ 18 (+4 mod) charisma, by sacrificing a 2nd level slot: 4(charisma mod) +3(charm person's spell level of 1, +2 for being spellsung) = DC 7.

WTF is up with that?
