I created sub-classes for several classes, as per my previous scout. Include features from this thread and some others from me. Investigator Muti-class archetype Rogues, Bards, Druids, Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards can all take the Investigator archetype. The exact progression of features depends on the class. [sblock] Bard You study investigation with the best mentor of the real 3. Bonus proficiencies, Keen Observations 6. Keener Observations, Extra Attack 14. Penetrating Perception and Great Insight Druid You forfeit spell specialization to improve your hunger for mystery investigation. 2. Bonus proficiencies, Keen Observations 6. Keener Observations 10. Penetrating Perception 14. Great Insight Sorcerer You are scion of a Grand investigator magical creature of the past 1. Bonus proficiencies, Keen Observations 6. Keener Observations 14. Penetrating Perception and Great Insight 18. Improved Penetrating Perception Warlock Your patron is the ghost of a famous investigator of the past. 1st detect magic, identify 2nd detect thoughts, see invisibility 3rd augury, suggestion 4th greater invisibility, arcane eye 5th nondetection, speak with dead 1. Bonus proficiencies 6. Keen Observations 10. Keener Observations 14. Penetrating Perception and Great Insight Wizard You forfeit spell specialization to improve your hunger for mystery investigation. 2. Bonus proficiencies 6. Keen Observations 10. Keener Observations 14. Penetrating Perception and Great Insight Rogue You study investigation with the best mentor of the real 3. Bonus Proficiencies, Keen Observations 9. Keener Observations, Identify Weakness 13. Penetrating Perception and Great Insight 17. Improved Identify Weakness ou Penetrating Perception Class features Bonus proficiencies You gain proficiency in investigation, perception and insight. If you spend at least 1 hour eavesdropping, asking questions, and staking out a location you can make an Intelligence check as if you were proficient in Arcana, History, Nature, or Religion. If you spend at least 8 hours you can apply DMG p 239 automatic successes rule to these skills as if you were proficient with them. Keen Observations You can use the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action to take the Search action. You gain Cunning Action with this only one effect if you don’t have already access. In additional, if not already proficient in Survival you can add your proficiency bonus to Wisdom (Survival) checks to follow tracks. Keener Observations You have advantage on all Intelligence (Investigation) checks made while researching using downtime days. Also, You can study people to learn their capabilities. For each minute you spend watching the creature while unobserved, you learn if it is your equal, superior, or inferior in one the following characteristics: • An ability score • A proficient skill • Total class levels (if any) • Rogue class levels (if any) Penetrating Perception You gain advantage on all saving throws against illusions, and on Intelligence checks to escape the maze spell. Improved Penetrating Perception At the cost of 5 sorcerers points, your saving throws against illusion spells always succeed damage for the next minute. You also resistance to psychic damage caused by illusion magic. Great Insight Your checks against being Disarmed, Grappled, Overrun, Shoved, Tumbled past, or Pushed Aside are advantaged, as are your saving throws against Battle Master maneuvers. Identify Weakness Starting at 9rd level, when you take the Help action to aid a creature's attack and that attack hits, the creature deals extra damage equal to your Sneak Attack damage. Improved Identifity Weakness At 20th level, the Identify weakness range is 15 feet and you can help a creature that way as a reaction when, as a trigger, a creature with disadvantage miss an attack against the creature you would help.
