The man's armor and weapons are clearly well cared for, that's for certain. Not a patch of rust shows, the smell of oil hangs faintly in the air and, were you to hazard a guess, you'd bet in a bright light you could shave with the reflection off his breastplate.</p><p>It's also fairly obvious that he's a friendly fellow. Sure, his every step is a metallic cry identical to those before, but that does little to stop him from pausing now and again to wave or call out to a random passerby. Surprisingly, most of said people are fairly friendly in return; many short, genuine conversations are had as the armored figure makes his way about town, whistling quietly to himself when he isn't asking about how a merchant's children fare.</p><p></p><p><strong>Background - In His Eyes:</strong> Orum was born in some small town somewhere of no consequence whatsoever. Nice people, backbone of the country, salt of the earth, but other than the occasional chipper letter and slice of his pay he sends back home to the family he's scarcely given it a second thought since leaving. You see, at a young age Orum was forcefully elevated from the lowly destiny of "Dirt Farmer in Training" into the glorious drafted rank and file of the Viaki militia. This was thanks largely to recent attacks by the undead menace which had woefully drained the city's military force. An unfortunate situation, to be certain, yet one which helped to shape a certain young soldier's life for the better from then on.</p><p></p><p>Truely, Orum was greatful for the hours of special training he recieved on his path to becoming one of Viaki's finest. After all, any opportunity he had to improve his skills at protecting the welfare of the common man had to be leaped upon; it wouldn't do to have a poorly trained man risking the lives of those around him. Yes, he did think it a little odd that he was the only one to take part in said special training. Yes, he does find himself more than a little alienated from the rest of the town's guard thanks to the special treatment and assignments he sometimes recieves. Orum tries not to dwell on such things though - whenever he does, he tends to get terribly painful headaches. Very...very...terrible headaches.</p><p></p><p>None of that is really important though. What IS important is that Orum gets out there in the wonderous city of Viaki each and every day and makes certain it's citizens are safe and, above all else, assured that all is continuing to flow as clockwork.</p></blockquote><p></p>
