It's not that she didn't like the little ghosts and goblins knocking on the door, but that she'd rather spend the time reflecting. Of course, to a teenage computer whiz like Rosanna, one didn't reflect without an audience.  And so it was that the modem's musical handshake sang to her, and she found herself sinking into the infinity of the unknown that had become more of a home to her than home.     TheOpenDiary.com was her first stop, an online community of diarists publicly ranting about this and that. While it was filled mostly with the denying love of angst-filled teens, Rosanna chose to use it to a different effect. She posted heavily about her beliefs in the possibility that we, humans, may not be alone. That the belief in supernatural beings is as old as time itself, and older than most modern religions.       She chose The Open Diary rather than a more traditional medium because of the site's unique ability to allow readers of a public diary to post comments to any given entry.  It was there where Rosanna met he rnow closest friend, a hacker who calls himself Bytemark.  She'd turned down an invitation to visit some local haunts and drink beer in the cemetery in hopes that she'd be able to talk to Bytemark tonight, but so far there was no such luck.  She continued her post, and decided that if she didn't hear from him soon she'd meet up with Kenneth, Nichole, and Beth at the cemetery for that beer after all.  The the doorbell rang.     Rosanna was irritated because the porch light was off, which had always meant that the house wasn't giving out candy this year.  She ignored it, and it rang again.  She saved her post and stomped angrily to the door.  There were no goblins, but Felicia might have passed for a ghost given the white makeup.  And she wasn't in costume; this was her normal Gothic look.  Rosanna was about to ask Felicia where she'd been since she hadn't been to school in forever, but Felicia stopped her and showed her the tickets.  The Succubus Club.  On Halloween night.
