I tend to use "I attack," but when my character speaks I intentionally say "Stirrup says" unless I'm clearly speaking in an accent.

As DM, of course, I always use the character name or description.

I generally tend to use I. For the most part around the table we call each other by character names, so we don't bother differentiating unless we're suddenly jumping from quoting movies to discussing battle strategies.

I typically use "I."

When DM-ing I try to encourage it as well, but it's mostly out of habit. I am open to other styles as long as the game is still fun. :)

I use both, depending on context. In "dungeon situation" (that is, attacking, dodging traps, running, climbing, etc., whatever the place), that's rather "I". When speaking, I usually speak as my character. But to describe more roleplayesque situation, I prefer third person. Some of my characters are so remote from me that I feel more comfortable using that additional distance.

Aye, I say 'I'. It's because in the game, I'm supposed to be my character, and I can't really get that feeling by playing 3rd person POV. Both groups I've played in have done it this way, so it's kinda hard for me to wrap my mind around it being handled differently.

I use both third person and single person when talking about my characters or playing.

Usually I use third person, when I wish to distance myself from my character, "as a player I have to admit my character Sythia does some things I feel are pretty revolting."

However when playign the character, "I keep talking to the Dark Lord, trying to keep him distracted from noticing Drake as he sneaks from behind."

My players use "I" exclusively - and I do, too, in the rare occasions when I'm a player instead of the DM.

Mixture of both. Somtimes I use "I", sometimes character name. Depends on context and personal mood.
