Sydneysider, originally Melburnian, using all the terrible-sounding local names he can think of - oh! I was a Healesvillager in between Melbourne and Sydney! I live on the North Shore in Sydney and currently play in a d20 Wheel of Time game (which is great, with no thanks to Robert "Hack" Jordan), and Hong's crazy Oriental Adventures Ultima adaptation. If you're looking for a game in the Sydney area, Hannibal, you can do worse than check out the forums of the University of Sydney's gaming & geek culture group - SUTEKH. No, it doesn't stand for anything, the original founders of the science fiction club which merged with the wargamers were massive Doctor Who geeks. These days we've got people playing Dungeons & Dragons, other d20 games, 7th Sea, GURPS, the new World of Darkness, the new Legend of the Five Rings, et cetera, with pretty regular Friday night pizza-and-games action (mostly board and card games and one-shot freeforms on Fridays, though). Drop in on the forum and say hi. You could also check out MURPS at Macquarie University and UNSW Gamers at, shock horror, UNSW - but beware! Those freaks over there at UNSW are viciously segregated from their geek culture brethren in SpockSoc, a crime against efficient social organisation we clearly abhor over here in safe, clean Sydney University-land.
