There are many reviews of <strong><em>AD&D</em></strong> as well as brand new RPGs, suggested house rules and tweaks, GM advice, and more.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol"><strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@booksbricksandboards783" target="_blank">Books, Bricks and Boards</a></strong> covers fantasy RPGs along with a few others, solo RPG play, mechanics to pull from RPGs, old school RPGs, and a variety of other topics. He also discusses the occasional board game. His solo RPG coverage is extensive and his buyers guides for RPGs including <strong><em>Old-School Essentials</em></strong><em>, </em><strong><em>Call of Cthulhu</em></strong>, and <strong><em>Dungeon Crawl Classics</em></strong>.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol"><strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Knigobi" target="_blank">Knigobi</a></strong> is a newer DM ready to run a game at any time (she keeps a set of dice on her keychain, just in case) and with a massive dice bag in case her players forget theirs. Knigobi has a host of other helpful skills including ice fishing and cooking which can come in handy when running an artic adventure and figuring out how the PCs find and prepare food. While I wouldn’t run my table exactly the same in some instances (her PCs have high ability score and start at third level) she has many practical tips and gaming war stories to share.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol"><strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@PaladinProse/featured" target="_blank">PaladinProse</a></strong> covers a variety of RPGs and has popular five minute reviews. He tackles some of his frustrations with <strong><em>D&D 5E</em></strong> which might either be of interest or videos to avoid depending on your tastes. But he isn’t afraid to tackle tough topics. He has covered Wizards of the Coast, Runehammer RPGs, and more. He even has a video on how the PCs can cook and eat monsters.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol"><strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@RedMageGM" target="_blank">RedMageGM</a></strong> is a personal favorite of mine. He scours DrivethruRPG and reviews many supplements and adventures for <strong><em>Shadowdark</em></strong><em>, </em><strong><em>Old-School Essentials</em></strong>, and the OSR. He can save you a lot of time and money if you’re looking for new content and his RPG explorations uncover adventures I might otherwise miss. He does deep dive videos and even his regular coverage videos can be nearly half an hour long. This length may limit the size of his channel, but the extra detail and nuance are worth it and I find the videos informative and entertaining.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol"><strong><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Runeslinger" target="_blank">Runeslinger</a></strong>, a long-time favorite, takes deep dives into RPG theory and game play and covers RPGs like <strong><em>Mythras</em></strong><em>, <strong>Ubiquity</strong>,</em> and <strong><em>Star Wars</em></strong> (originally designed by Fantasy Flight Games). He also does unboxings which for some reason I find relaxing to watch. Runeslinger thinks deeply about GMing RPGs and actual RPG play so if you want some in depth coverage, rather than clickbait or the latest controversy, check him out. He also has one or two interesting videos on sword katas. His RPG book shelves are also enjoyable to see in the background. I also find his dogs entertaining when they pop up in a video.</li> </ol><p>YouTube can be a frustrating place to navigate.
