Message: <blockquote data-quote="msd" data-source="post: 2596206" data-attributes="member: 19974">I think the difference lies in the context in which they were posted.If you post a picture of a female ENWorlder hanging out at the ENWorld booth at GenCon, no big deal.  In all likelihood, the person at issue does not consider her presence at GenCon part of her private life and does not care whether or not she is photographed or whether that photograph subsequently winds up on the net with the caption "Here is so-and-so of ENWorld hanging out at the ENWorld booth at GenCon.  Yay!"The context is completely different, and entirely more violative of someone's right to privacy when you take a photo of them in the context of their status as a past girlfriend, fling, or whatever.   Whether the photograph portrays physical intimacy at this point is irrelevant - the presence of the photograph combined with your narrative represents an emotional intimacy.  And that emotional intimacy is being spewed all over the net without their consent.That is what is different, and that is (I *think*) what people are finding offensive.Just a thought. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin    :D"  data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" /></blockquote>
