Rome: Series 2

Morrus

Well, that was fun

The second series of ROME starts next week in the US. There's a preview of it here.

As a BBC/HBO production with mainly British actors, I'm a little bummed that there is no mention of series 2 on the BBC website. Given that my TV license fee is contributing towards this, I'm not too happy.

However, I can't wait to see it. I loved the first series (even with all its innacuracies - it was just a darn good show!)

good timing...I was just thinking about posting about Rome starting again this weekend.

I'm bummed that this is the last season....that there will be no 3rd season.

Supposedly costs are the reason no 3rd season.

Agree and disagree. The one advantage of this is that going in knowing it's the last season allows the story to be built to a definitive end, which is hard to do for shows that are cancelled midway through the season. So, it's not all bad.

Plus, too many shows go on too long and overstay their welcome as the quality slips. At least this show won't suffer that fate.

With no cable, I'll have to wait for the old DVD's. Again. :\

Same here, still not so bad, I watched season 1 in 2 afternoons/evenings when I bought the box set. Now that was money well spent.
