Rome: Total War - Anyone Else Drooling with Anticipation?

Hey Gang,

Anyone else getting psyched for Rome: Total War (Activision), due out in September? I caught the first installment of "Decisive Battles" on the History Channel (Cannae) which used the game engine to re-enact the battle and have been ravenously reading the reviews.

Oh yes - it looks fantastic!

There was a show over here, a few months ago, called Time Commanders, where a team of players would actually play the game on TV, with an enormous screen. They'd be given particular historical battles to "re-enact" (or try to win). As I understand it, the game engine was not fully complete at that stage, and it still looked fantastic!

Some of the castle/seige stuff looks amazing - a great improvement on Medieval: Total War. Ladders, archers on walls, all sorts of things!
