[QUOTE="Storyteller01, post: 1674800, member: 20931"] I really have to find a way to get a video clip in here... Sorry if I seem peeved or rude, but I really want this to reflect both it's real life use as well as its use in legends and storys. All suggestions are greatly appretiated. Granted, the '100 + 4' attack is exaggerated, but the idea (and the physical world mechanic) is that the opponent's own momentum puts them in the situation. The character either has manuvered themselves behind someone or sent some other opponent's momentum crashing your way. If your good (and player characters are among the best) you can hold off a large number of people. There are legends of knights and Samurai holding off dozens (if not hundreds) of opponents by themselves. Nothing says they only had the Cleave feats at their disposal. Anyway, a group of Japanese riot police CAN hold off a crowd of hundreds (they are taught {or were, last time I checked} a style of Aikido known as Yoshinkai Aikido). All in all, my thought is to create an alternatitve to the Cleave feat chain(which can keep going as long as you keep dropping opponents). This feat is continual as long as you are not grappled or otherwise immobilized (not a easy thing to maintain). I was attempting to give the feel of a monk or fighter who, for give the expression, "fights smarter, not harder". So how about this: _________________________________________________________________ Rondori Requirements: Dodge, Mobility, Improved Unarmed Combat, Improved Trip, Defensive Throw, Combat Reflexes, Expertise The amount of creatures that may safely surround (ie: come within contact of) you is reduced by half. Should a character find themselves surrounded by more creatures than is safe, by accident or deliberate design, he may force excess creatures out of combat. With this feat, a character may choose a number of creatures within contact to make a Ref save (DC 10 + the character's Dex bonus + the number of surrounding creatures). A successful save means the creature may stay in combat for this round. On a failed save, the creature must use a move equivalent action to take a 5 foot step in any direction it chooses, as long as it is no longer in contact with your character. If said creature cannot do this, they are considered 'prone'. The number of creatures that may be forced to make this save can be no more than the amount beyond what is considered safe. Example: with this feat, a human monk may only be safely surrounded by 4 medium creatures. Should he be surrounded by 6, he may choose two of them to make this ref save. A character may force the above save every round they are surrounded by more creatures than is safe. Different creatures may be chosen every round. A character may force the above save as a free action whenever he or she is in an 'unsafe' condition (ie is surrounded by more than is concidered safe). Allies count against the amount of creatures who may safely surround you. This feat is does not function if the character is immobilized (ie: hold spells, certain command spells, helpless/unconscious, grappled, etc) _________________________________________________________________ I've added an extra feat as part of the prereq's, and (hopefully) defined when the saves may be forced.
