The "Behind the Spells" pdf series continues with that classic spell of shapechanging--Polymorph! This series examines those spells from the SRD that are listed time and again on character sheets throughout gaming. These are the spells which, if on your PC’s class list, will be taken as soon as possible and include such quintessential favorites as magic missile and fireball.

Perfect for players and GMs alike, each pdf in this series examines the spellcaster who created the spell, one or more of the spell’s hidden capabilities, and possible variants for the spell. This release includes two spell secrets, one new magic item, and one new spell!

Mark is correct at 25. I suppose there's perhaps 12 or 13 more to go until the end; followed by the hardcover compilation.

I take it that this is based upon the now "unofficial" older versions of polymorph prior to the recent nerfing and PHBII updates.

I guess that depends on the definition of "unofficial". ;) I used the spell's description as it was in the system reference document as of last week. Since I'm certain no PHBII info will make it into the srd in the near future (if ever), then yes the pdf is based on the "older" version. Still relevant, of course.

Man, this and the Dungeon Interludes DCC seem like a really good pair of springboards for a Redhurst campaign.
