"It is refreshing to be called young again. And though I do not weave a tale quite as beautifully as a bard I do perhaps posses one of intrest to the esteemed Wyrm and his guests. It is not as long as perhaps those weaved by the Archon Milikian... who is a story himseff, in fact I recall I needed to... forgive me I have had many... things on my mind as of late. But as to that story. It was a boring midsummer day, the one elves enjoy but people of my ilk detest. I had recently finished my apprentice ship, Gurney... not a single crack about how long ago that was, and I was filled with youthfull... vigor. I wanted to test my magical apptitude against something anything. How I remember THOSE days. I had recently been in contect with a member of the court of the 8th Hell, a minor Pit Fiend with no true standing. I was due to summon him for a staff he had obtained for me, no choice of his, and thought he would provide an excellent test of my art. So I offered him a deal, if he could best me in a duel I would release him from my Master's servitude spell (something beyond my power at the time...) so he could be free to roam the material. He, being a devil so like all others agreed, foolish Devil... I believed. I prepared and cast a few defensive spells (spell turning, my favorite.) I also cast two fireballs that would, when arriving at their target, explode after 28 seconds and summoned him. He was emidiatly swathed in fire. But alas me being the headstrong and non-thinking fool I was had attacked my Devil foe with fire, something no experianced caster would ever do. He laughed at me and spat fire of his own more intense and powerfull than the flames I had summoned they hit one of my spell sheilds and where flung back at my enemy with actual effect! (I look back at it know relizing it was a flamstrike spell, half of who's energy is granted by the divine powers.) It was my turn to laugh, if for a short time. I cast one of my most early spells I had modified, A more powerfull magic missle. The spheres of light hit my foe with damaging force. OOC: SRRY guys I will have to finish this later. This might be my longest post...
