The Devil would be dazed I knew after a teleport so I took the advantage. Still on the ground I cast an illusion that made it seem I had gotten up and began backing away from him casting a major spell. He shook off his daze and charged my false self thinking to catch me in mid-cast. With his back turned to me I decided to try a new spell of mine. I threw disintegration at him just as he was wondering why no blood came from the two halves of my magically created body. It hit him in the middle of the back, I cried out victory thinking soon I would have the remains of the Devil as spell components. But alas I had once again failed to relize the fortitude of my enemy. He spun around, I DID catch a glance of a small hole in his back, and summoned lighting which hit my spell sheild and was reflected back doing no good as he counterspelled his own lighting. Relizing my spell sheild was all but used up I knew I had to devise a new plan. I summoned am elemental to busy him as I conjured my most powerfull spell, one that would drain the life out of a victim. The devil made shortwork of the Earth Elemental and charged towards me. I unleashed my spell and watched the feind shrivel and go weak. He dropped his sword and and glared at me angrilly. "I have had enough mortal." The Devil said. "You have bested me. Now take your staff and leave me." I took the staff he offered. "Now why would I let you 'be' Devil? No I think I shall spare this world another of your ilk stalking the land. Take this portal back to your realm or I shall kill you here and have your sould in one of my favourite gems." I cast the portal and the Devil steped through. With his last step I muttered. "Have a nice eternity... in the abyss."</p></blockquote><p></p>
