You’re walking, shuffling, weaving, and standing with a heavy bag full of newly purchased hardcovers and boxed sets for 8 to 12 hours at a stretch. By Saturday, you’re sore. Among the <a href="https://www.enworld.org/threads/gen-con-2024-sets-attendance-record.705981/" target="_blank">540 exhibiting companies</a> at the con, I reached the <strong>Carolina Game Tables</strong> booth where they conveyed me to their demo chair. I talked with <a href="https://peginc.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Pinnacle Entertainment’s</strong></a> COO, Jodi Black (who also co-owns <strong>Carolina Game Tables</strong>) about the chair and the show. The memory of that conversation has a glow about it as I recall the comfort of their seat. Despite having walked the downtown of a city and toured the largest tabletop gaming convention in North America, it was like being home. The physical sensations of temperature and support for my height and weight led to complete relaxation, it was perfect. I’m 5’10” and over 300lbs, yet the chair was relaxing. Best of all, my head did not tower over the back of the chair as is normal in my life. The comfort was greater than my room at the Sheraton during <strong>Gen Con</strong>, better than the rented 2024 Chevrolet Traverse we rode to the show in, and more than the thousand-dollar sofa I’m typing this review on. The <strong>Deluxe Dragon Chair</strong> was easy to sit in. The <strong>Deluxe Dragon Chair</strong> is another level of design that Senior Game Designer <a href="https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/browse?author=%22Clint%20Black%22&affiliate_id=814082" target="_blank">Clint Black</a> of <strong>Savage Worlds</strong> and <strong>Deadlands</strong> fame took a lot of pride in. The texture of the material was amazing, you can see just a little bit of the detail in the photo. $6k makes this a high-end desire that certain gamers will aspire to own. Many of the mysteries of Ahu Tiiko center around the youth of the village.
