And, every once in a while, I sometimes as a DM don't realize that an encounter may be too much until half-way into the encounter.</p><p></p><p>I don't try to be cruel, but I will let "the chips fall where they may." Success is not guaranteed, and they can always make replacement characters to try again or take another path where the first failed.</p></blockquote><p></p>
