Message: <blockquote data-quote="MGibster" data-source="post: 8442817" data-attributes="member: 4534">I took a Gender & Science Fiction course as an undergraduate where I was required to write a critical analysis of several short stories from different theoretical points of view.  My final paper was a feminist critique of Tarnsman of Gor.  I especially find it different when those who are exposed to academic jargon then apply it outside of that context and expect everyone else to follow suit and understand.  It's hard to engage in meaningful communication when we can't all agree on what a simple word means.  I mean, we can do both, right?</blockquote>
