http://www.silverblades-suitcase.com/adnd/htm/firearms3d.htm my take on firearms for D20 that I did while back :) agree with previous poster: a 9mm is a 9mm is a 9mm!!! jeesh, bar #rounds carried and reliability/accuracy, firearms are all pretty much alike, in certain broad categories. Some folk preffer a certain gun, thus, if they are focused on that weapon, they should take a small penalty when using a similar weapon. ie, Joe loves a 9mm beretta 92F...he runs out of ammo/clips...and picks up a 9mm Walther P38. Both guns do almost identical damage..but Joe isn't used to it so small penalty to hit and less # rounds carried. You can add in a small increased chance of jamming as more recent firearms tend ot be more reliable than the P38 (which is sitll a good weapon). No need ot get too involved in this stuff :) *he says, then looks at his 3.5 firearms rules..., uh oh!* hehe.
