RPGNow Forums

First Post
One of our goals for this year with RPGHost Network is to create a centeral forum for users to hang out in for our network. We have chosen is this forum and encurrage everyone to stop by and say hello!

http://forums.rpghost.com

It'll be the hub for all our sites. The software is excellent and allows for in-line user polls, automate email notices, and much more.

We'll be hosting some special forms for RPGNow to help publishers speak to their customers and address issues as well as post press releases. Plus an e-Publishers forum for sharing information on creating and selling PDF products.

The main drive behind an RPGNow forum area was the abuse the comments section seems to get. We'd rather that wasn't used by customers and publishers arguing or being spiteful. So a forum was the best idea. Since our network is doing some reorginizing this year anyway, one of the goals was a global forum for the network. Thus the forums...

Besides, many of the non-d20 people out there don't have a place like this (EN World) to monitor publishers and releases.

I hope you people stop by to make it a success. It's very hard to start a new forum and a lot to ask for people to add another "haunting grounds" to their daily schedules. But at least the forum supports email replies so you can set that as a default in your configuration.

Well, I signed up and posted. :D

I did as well, and for those that read this, I do post here on En World with my announcements, but for daily updates and further insights into future products I will be posting in my own thread for Arcane series on a regular Bi-Tri Daily basis. I will also post freebies there as I have about 6 lined up for over the next few weeks from free Creature Cards, Lanscapes, Maps, Charcaters, those will most all be posted there. I don't want to be a bother on the d20 Publisher arena, with mulitiple posts...so hit my thread!

(NOTE it's not my intention to take anyone from these great forums, but if your a publisher and do not have a message board or have only a small amount of traffic visiting it, please read this)

One of the major reasons that new forums fail to succeced is that the users do not really want to "haunt" yet another forum/website. They'd much rather have a one stop shop.

There might be something to be said for a general forum site like what we are setting up here.

As a publisher you should consider using our server to host your website's forums as you will enjoy a larger audience. We all share a community together instead of a bunch of fragmentation.

We're combining the WebRPG forums, OpenRPG forums, Community 3e and others to this location. WebRPG alone gets 50 posts a hour and OpenRPG and Community 3e are also very active.

Anyway, if it interests you, which I know might be hard to swollow on the surface esp if you already have a forum, but maybe you can think it through, we'd be glad to setup your own forum area on the server which you'll have administration over.

Well hey! I understand your speaking in broad scope to all concerned. well I for one can say "set me up!" if its within reason. I had at least 4 Yahoo Groups over the past year and every single one of them bombed. Maybe I'm just a boring poster? By nature its an artist thing I guess since I don't discuss 'gaming mechanics" just not my forte...but art? You bet :p
