RPGNow- Technical Manual Writer Wanted

First Post
We're looking for a technical writer who can create a new vendor intruduction/how to guide for RPGNow. We have so many features that many times our vendors don't know about them. We have so many processes that new vendors find it hard to get setup at first. A step-by-step setup and a use of features document needs to be created.

I've asked for help from our publishers, but they are all too busy with their own tasks. So I'll have to ask for outside help.

THIS IS A PAYING GIG! We will pay you to write this docuement. But we expect an professional job and attention to detail that is writen at a level understandable by the non-computer savy.

If your interested in this job, please contact sales@rpgnow.com and send us a resume or at least a list of recent relevent work.

You will be have to manage yourself, we will supply all needed access and explianation, but you'll be the one having to assemble it all into a readable, indexed/bookmarked, PDF document.

Someone made an excellent suggestion about also using HTML. I mean PDF has its advantages and HTML would have it's own. Sort of offline/online use... I'd prefer to have it in both and if there are tools to allow that we best use them.

Anyway, after posting publicly a publisher on RPGNow finally stepped up to do the job. It's best to get a publisher to do it as they've used the system. He has years of technical writing background so I think we're all set. Consider the position filled.

Of course if anyone wants to send contributions or lists of things to cover, we'll welcome them. This is generally what I'm after:

- Table of Contents
- Step-by-step for new vendor getting a product listed/accepted
- account setup and config
- adding a product (what the fields mean, examples, upload thumb)
- uploading to our server (use a real ftp program)
- what not to do (give out link before online, etc)
- FEATURES (many sub sections for each menu area in the vendor area)
- tips for successful marketing and order tracking using RPGNow
- FAQ
