RPGs and the job-hunting network

G'day

My dear friend Mewness is living and hunting jobs in San Francisco. Like a sensible geek-girl, she is parlaying her geekdom into contacts that can get her jobs. (This is harder when you look like me than when you look like her, but that's life.) Her latest progress report included this advice, which I pass on to all studious and ambitious ENworlders:

"Advice to young graduates: while you may have spent many hours in school diligently studying the rules to D&D 3.5, this may not be as useful in the current job market as it seems. I have now gotten one job offer each:)through playing DragonQuest and RuneQuest II. D&D is still a big fat zero. So you see, the "classical" RPG education is not be neglected in times like these."

Regards,
