It's more a matter of what you're looking for. 1st ed was a fairly rules-light approach and not bad. 2nd Ed added a _lot_ of stuff, and lost fans because of it, while gaining others. It's probably the best known version. 3rd Ed has some pretty vocal fans, but overall I'm not impressed with what I've seen. The Tri-Stat system was already complicated enough, and they tried to revise it and added even more stuff to it. Only a limited number of 3E books were printed and I've no idea where you could get one now.</p><p></p><p>And from what I've seen you could probably use it with OVA (Wise Turtle Publishing) with a bit of jiggering as well.
