Some fairly good info in today's Rule of Three

They acknowledge people are looking for support for the Seeker and Runepriest classes

Hybrid and multiclass support for Heroes of the Fallen Lands is coming in April, Heroes of the Fallen Kingdoms and Heroes of Shadow in May

I'd really like at least in OFFICIAL stuff, for people to write the names of their books correctly.

It's FORGOTTEN, not FALLEN kingdoms.

You know, it's, after all, ESSENTIAL material.

We already see a lot of demand for more support for the runepriest and seeker. Adding more unique classes to the mix would only make that problem worse.
I'd make a witty comment here, but this just speaks for itself. The irony of the answer that they can't support all classes and there IS demand to support ones with hardly any, combined with the fact HoS throws tons of options at two of the best supported classes in 4E primarily is just too amusing.

I do - kind of - agree with the general concept of not adding more classes if they won't support them. The vampires extremely linear design makes a lot more sense in this context.

Now, where are all the 1.000.000 D&D fans that demanded the warlord be named marshal? Will they still care? Or try to find something else to bitch about? Will we ever find out?

And, sorry if that offends, but i cannot get over the fact that the second post in this thread comments ONLY on a spelling error. I mean, this is some tasty stuff with lot's of possibilities to talk about, no?

Forex, i want all classes to be named [Base] [Specialty], but perhaps a little more descriptive. I want my players to immediately know what they get when they choose one.

And i see the comment about support for classes relatively positive - i think he means that support for those will come, but right now they want to concentrate on not creating more classes that need even more support.

Oh, and: adressing problems the community has. Good thing. Or is it? I already hear those who disagree with me sharpening their knives.

They're probably right to avoid having a bunch of Shadow-exclusive classes. And, yes, the notion of Shadow powers are representing something tempting is quite cool.

I wonder how multiclassing with the Vampire 'class' is supposed to fit, flavour-wise?

Also, I fail to see how retconning the Warlord so it's now the Marshall makes things clear. Seems to me like they've got their naming convention backwards - the new build should have been the Marshall.

Also keep in mind they basically re-printed the Seeker as a Ranger build in Essentials (the primal ranged weapon controller)

You're wrong. The seeker has half of its powers useable in melee. The only other melee controller in the game is the Predator Druid, and only the seeker has weapon powers.

The hunter is great for bow and crossbow, but the seeker has its own unique advantages.

I think all of this is great news. Wizards seems to be getting itself back on track. They're acknowledging the issues they've been having, or seem to be, and are working to fix them.

I'm excited about being able to multiclass into class features. The question is, will it extend beyond the power-style features or not?

And I guess I'm a page behind somewhere. When did this name change happen? I haven't heard anything about the PHB Fighter being renamed the Weaponmaster or the PHB Warlord being renamed the Marshal.

Back when Class Compendium was announced, WotC previewed the PH1 Fighter-with-Essentials-Formatting, and named that build the Weaponmaster (because it was mostly based on what weapons the character used).

After that book was pulled from the schedule, its contents began making its way to Dragon, beginning with the Warlord, which was presented (for free!) in the new format, with the PH1 build being renamed Marshal.

So, when you're playing a PH1 Fighter or Warlord, you say you're playing a Weaponmaster Fighter or a Marshal Warlord.
