Rules for contacts - where?

I know the new UA has rules for contacts for PCs. But I remember seeing a pretty nice system based on number of points per level and based on class. The contact NPC was basically "Purchased" with points.

Any ideas where I might have seen that?

I am pretty sure it was not a WOTC product.

Thank you throbbing brain.

I have not seen one as far as I can recall. I know Urban Arcana had a PrC called Arcane Arranger - a class the specializes is procuring favors, rides, items, and information.

Actually, it sounds like something from Shadowrun. You could buy certain contacts and had to pay them monthly or something and could use them to get information, get a contract, gain access to somewhere, fence stolen goods, whatever depending on the contact type. Never seen it applied to fantasy, as it's usually not that complicated unless you are running a detailed city adventure IMO.

sounds like shadowrun. I only played it a few times but I recall that when you create your character, you are given a certain number of points. From these points you could purchase wealth, attributes, or contacts.

I recall seeing a bit of news, either here or gamingreport.com, somewhere about a product that had a system for contacts. It was within the last few days, but I can't seem to jog my memory enough to remember who made it.
