Rules review of Dungeons and Dragons: a "mess"

A friend of mine just linked me to this review of "Dungeons and Dragons: Rules for Fantastic Medieval Wargames Playable With Paper and Pencil and Miniature Figures.". It's a riot!

I hadn't seen it before, then again I wasn't around last week. The optimum solution is to play by phone? Strange thought. I wonder if anyone ever took that seriously and tried it...

I hadn't seen it either yet so I was happy you posted it.

On that note, when I was in HS my friends and I would quite often run solo or two player sessions over the phone (I had three-way calling almost as soon as it came out). Worked pretty good, actually.

Bitchin about price is nothing new it seems; the reviewer thought the game expensive at $3.5 a pop

It seems that most of the complaints i have heard about 2E and 3E (heck even Hackmaster) are all contained right here too. Looks like nothing has really changed
