And thus the rumours are true, the King has gone mad..."This kind of thing (railroaded capture scene) usually results in either a TPK or very frustrated players.  Or a dead king, which might be more fun.I strongly advise you not to think in scenes, as if you were writing a novel or scripting a movie.  Think in terms of NPC plots and actions, and a default timeline which occurs if the PCs do nothing, but don't try to script the campaign in advance.  I know some professional adventure writers do it, but (a) they are working under many more constraints than you are and (b) It still sucks.</blockquote>
