The other stays close to the man with the painted face. The skeletons attack the living, cutting down one soldier and one commoner. The surviving soldier manages to break a bone with his warhammer, but that's it.</p><p></p><p>Torvin Arkenthrasher charges past the commoners into the skeletons, shattering another with his heavy silver mace. "Lothar, to me!" he shouts at the maimed man.</p><p></p><p>The ogres continue to fight, despite their damage. Ogrin easily avoids his clumsy foe, but Rasereit, despite his training, is struck a solid blow to the head with the ogre's greatclub. (dmg = 14 - IC modifier wrong). Fortunately, his helmet <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1271805" target="_blank">prevents </a> any brain damage.</p><p></p><p>The orcs to the north are mostly blinded. One, however, pushes through the trees to reach Beamer,though it can't attack yet. To the south, Hugh survives the orc attacks. One leaps up on the wagon and strikes down one of Ogrin's boys. Otherwise, the push forward through the trees.</p><p></p><p>The commoners have mostly lost their nerve. As the skeletons fall, the men retreat towards Eusebius and Banion for protection. Of the two boys left in the wagon, one screams and falls into a fetal position. The other, safely behind Ogrin, lobs another flask, blowing up an orc and showering several others with flaming oil. Meanwhile the flaming oil consumes the ogre ogrin was fighting.
