The group is able to track down the relatives of the slain merchants. They are very sad to hear about their loved ones, but happily accept the cash and shower blessings on the heroes for their generosity and information. The group finishes its business in Havertown and hits the road again. They try to avoid prolonged exposure to other travelers, and have no further unpleasent incidents. At last they reach the small stockaid where they first met 'Toler' and 'Rafferty', whom they now suspect are assassins working for Seto. The stockaid is more heavily guarded than last time Beamer Banion and Eusebius stayed there. Spikes and wires protrude from the wooden walls, perhaps to keep leaping dire wolves out. It is still an inn, but one that has been nationalized by the Rivensblight military. Otherwise, it would have been abandoned. The rates are slightly higher, but not unacceptable. The group decides to spend the night there as it's getting late and they hope to find Reinert the dwarf. Sure enough, as they stable their horses, they see the familiar loaded wagon Beamer and Banion rode up from Rivensblight on a few weeks ago. Entering the common room, they see several travelers sitting at the dinner table. Some have already finished dinner, and are drinking or smoking or just talking. There are 2 elves, one of rather dark complextion, 1 half-elf woman, 2 halflings, 4 men, and one dwarf, the redoubtable Reinert.
