Rasereit makes his intentions known, and his commander gives the order to battle. The Bishop seems to have anticipated this; it is the first to spring into action. The Bishop leaps into the air. The wings that unfold from its back beat the air. It gains little height, but covers a lot of ground. It is on the dwarf before he can get his axe ready. The flatfooted dwarf takes a blow from its long claws (4 dmg), but shrugs it off. He returns the scratch with two mighty swings. The first smacks off its right arm, sending chunks of rocklike flesh bouncing across the marble floor. The second blow comes so quickly, the bishop is unlikely to have even felt the pain of the loss of its limb before the axe comes sweeping back to break off the top of its head. Large chunks of bishop rock (and no evident blood), tumble past Rasereit, carried by the flying creature's momentum. A shocked silence fills the room as the last of the pieces rolls to a halt. Then the five remaining viking warriors break into tumultuous applause, banging their hammers on their sheilds and shouting at the top of their lungs. Their queen has won a great victory, and they are very proud. Rasereit walks to take the place of the fallen bishop, next to Beamer. He hardly knows what his feet are doing; it is simply what he must do to move to that square. He knows what to look for once he gets there as well; a small black bishop lays plainly on the white marble tile. The Black King is taken aback by the quickness of Rasereit's victory perhaps, and several minutes pass before Black's next move. (In which time, spell may be cast on Razh by those in adjacent squares). Eventually, the black's lead pawn advances, threatening Ogrin.
