The September Sage Advice column is up, and while generally the advice given in Sage Advice is optional for use by AL DMs, advice that makes it into the game as official errata is not optional. The DLDMG notes that AL DMs are expected to run games using the rules in the Player's Handbook, so any change to those rules should be incorporated by AL DMs. Specific changes for the 6th printing (that is, new errata not in previous editions): - The object created by the Conjuration Wizard's Minor Conjuration ability now disappears if it deals any damage. - The rules for multiclassing explicitly state that cantrips 'scale' based on character rather than class level. - Clarification to the Alert feat that other creatures don't gain advantage on attack rolls because the Alert character/creature cannot see them. - After applying a character's Strength modifier to a high jump, the minimum jump distance is 0 feet. - The definition of darkvision on p.185 has been changed to conform to other definitions of darkvision. - Any creature can take a short or long rest, not just PCs. (Would have been better if it said creatures can 'benefit' from a short or long rest, but probably same difference.) - When spending hit dice after a short rest, the minimum hp gained per die is 0. (i.e.: a negative Con modifier can result in a hit die providing no hp gain after a short rest) - A long rest now is divided into 6 hours of no activity, with no more than 2 hours of standing watch or similar 'light' activity. Also, a character gains a minimum of one expended hit die at the end of any long rest. - Clarification to glyph of warding to indicate that the 'surface or object' being moved more than 10 feet results in the harmless discharge of the spell. - Clarifications to prismatic wall to remove the reference to the (nonexistent?) Rod of Cancellation. - True Resurrection now explicitly returns an undead creature to its non-undead form. Most of these are not huge changes, and merely clarify how the rules have been working for some time. The changes to rest rules, though, are fairly significant (not that AL characters tend to take Con as their dump stat). -- Pauper (Errata to thread: fixed the title!)
