I doubt you could find 20 that are blatently wrong.  I think you are making the mistake of focusing on only his incorrect rulings, to the point where you forget everything he get's right. I think you are holding him to an higher standard than is warranted. Part of why I'm writing this is because I've experienced the same thing myself. At one point my views on the rules were taken as gospel by a large minority of posters in the rules sections. Then my personal life got complicated (lost my fiance, lost my job, then series of new jobs were I couldn't post from, then became president of the local RPGA club, and lately have organizing and/or running local RPGA gaming conventions) and my posting frequency dropped, and my accuracy dropped when the 3.5 revision came out and I didn't have the time to proof everything the way I used to.  Reactions from some people ranged from a sort of spiteful glee to outright hostility. So much for having earned respect for service rendered. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f61b.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":p" title="Stick out tongue    :p"  data-smilie="7"data-shortname=":p" /> (And I admit I didn't handle it as well as I should have, partly due to the personal stress I was operating under) Part of the reason I dropped out of site for awhile, and still don't post as much as I used to.  I see much the same thing happening to the Sage for the last few years, and don't really think he deserves it.  Nowadays Hypersmurf is in much the same position I used to hold, and is doing a good job of it. I'm glad about that, it takes some of the pressure off, and there should always be a respected rules guru on the forum.
