Tender, Siva, and Narančasta don the robes while Kurl adds the tabard over his robe and the others act as captives. Disguised and with weapons hidden the group begins their deception and heads up the ramp towards the top of the ziggurat. The ramp circles three levels of the ziggurat structure before the fourth, the peak, can be reached. The beastmen have quite a bit of head start on the group but they are distracted in their religious fervor and dragging the villagers towards their doom on the peak where the large figure looms and so are moving slowly. Still, the group must hurry if they are to reach the surviving villagers before they reach what can only be impending sacrifice. Finally, the group comes up on the tail end of the procession. The villagers are near the front of the procession just a short way from the top and to reach them will require moving amongst the beastmen. The disguises seem to be working and the beastmen in their ecstasy are fooled. Ascending the ramp of the fourth level finally gives a clear view of the top. The peak is a temple dominated by a vast, smoking pit that glows with a hellish light. A mighty beastman hoists an effigy of a fearsome armored figure high into the swirling clouds as the first prisoner is hurled into the pit. A trio of snarling beastmen upends woven baskets, pouring thousands of coins in after your fellow villager, producing gouts of hissing smoke and flame. All about you is the thundering cacophony of drums and bestial howls as the bizarre ritual nears its climax.
