Hmnnn...

Brocures are basically just a layout job. Its only job is to get the person to read the content in a favorable light.

It's the numbers that will actually sell your service. Simply put, what can you offer them that thier standard print publishing cannot?

Examples: Company A sells a campaign setting sourcebook, but is not interested in modules due to printing costs vs. module sales.

Could you offer them a way to sell modules (of 16-32 pages) in order to suppliment thier print product?

Will thier actual costs be less with PDF, or thier profits higher?

Numbers... That's what will be the issue.

Well if I wasn't exactly clear, the person I'm looking for would help with the presentation of the data and analysis to get a decent advertising vehicle put together. So, I'm looking for a salesman help too I guess... I know plenty of people who can do the raw layout part if that's two different people. We'd like to try to assemble something soon though...

Actually, that was not quite what I was getting to, but it is a point.

What I was trying to get at is that you are wanting is someone to show all of your numbers in the best possible light. Part of this is knowing what numbers to show, and what numbers not to show.

Let me be more blunt: Be careful who you give this project to, since he will not only have a lot of private business data, but you will also need to trust him to portray it in a light that does not make you look like a worse option that you actually are. Advertising firms get paid for this kind of work because of the potential for damage from people not knowning what they are doing.

Remember, this is not like a pdf gaming product that just needs editing and layout. This is important advertisment dollars that need the perfect 'spin' to get the client.

Whoops... There I go again... Blathering on...

Shutting up now.

Good points... I guess I didn't make it clear but I'm willing to pay someone. I am just not willing to pay an ad Firm rate :)

I've done enough promoting/sales to know what generally I need ... just need someone to help orginize it and write a good doc explaining it.

Cool.

Just looking out for your interests, since we (speaking for pretty much everyone here) do want to see you do well.

Ya know, we worry about ya... :D

As long as you know what to look for, it's all good.
