D&D 5E (2014) Saltmarsh - Special Officer Actions

Hi all,

Quick question.

Do the Special Officer Actions on p.198 (Take Aim and Full Speed Ahead) count against the number of Ship Actions per turn listed for each ship?

I would say no, because I believe those are the actions of the character taking them, rather than the actions of the ship', but would have to reread the section to be sure.

This is my interpretation as well. The text clearly says that the character takes the action, and I don't see anything anywhere that would suggest that this counts against the number of ship actions.
