Right, I've noted all resource usage during the rest, the Bards use of Inspiring leader and Song of Rest, the fact the Rogue has attuned to the Caduceus and have provided the response to the Divination spell, and the Sorcerers recovery of 4SP as well. As you all rest and recover below decks, and the Cleric ponders his premonition from Lathander, you hear above you the cries of 'Land ho!'. Racing up to the deck, you all realize the 'Folly is pulling closer to a large grey rock floating in the Astral Sea, roughly 1km in diameter. A sickly green luminescence emanates from the bottom of the rock, and located centrally on top you see a strange olive green pool of color, roughly 5m wide which oscilates strangely. Storms batter the area, and the Astral sea around the lifeless rock is dark and boiling. Something just feels 'wrong' about the whole area. You all have a bad feeling about this one. Jagged crags otherwise adorn the rock, like teeth of a colossal beast., making navigation of your ship closer than the edge an impossible task. Grogbeard expertly maneuvers the Folly closer to the floating rock, looking for a place to safely dock the ship. As you round the corner of the ship, you see an alcove that looks suitable for the task; however it seems as if your party are not the first to have this idea. Located in the alcove, roughly 100m from where your ship is maneuvering is something that resembles a strange large (30' long) shell of some marine creature, like an enormous conical nautilus shell. It appears securely attached to the rock, held in place by slime covered tentacles at the front and rear. At Mr Christians orders, the crew of the 'Folly nervously man the ballistae as your ship approaches, as the Giff grimly holds his firearm at the ready, scanning for any movement. Grogbeard motions to the shell like construct, and confides to your party: 'Aye Lads and Lassies, be ye careful on land; that there be a ship of brain eating alien bastards and slavers. She looks powered down, so it be likely that her inhabitants might well be somewhere near the color pool ye be heading for. Good luck and may the Gods be with ye.' With that the 'Folly docks some 50' from the alien vessel, a gangplank thrown down allowing you access to the grey lifeless rock. The crew look on grimly awaiting your next move. What do you all do?
