I've never played D&D before, but have been interested for quite some time. Because I'm new to the game, I admit I might take some time in learning all the ins and outs, but I'm willing to put in the time and effort to learn, if I can find a group willing to afford me such time. I've been listening to podcasts of groups involved in 4th Edition, and have a bit of knowledge already, such as initative, skill checks, levels of abilities (at will, encounter, daily), and other things I've picked up to be able to follow along.
Due to the fact I don't drive, as a result of some leg issues, I would prefer to find a group very local to myself. If a fellow player were willing to offer me transportation, I would gladly compensate for travel costs.
