Keeping him as a regular character would give Sarah too much firepower and draw attention away from the child characters, not to mention being a special effects headache and an extra expense. 'Mr. Smith' can't go anywhere and probably won't have much dialogue, which will mean the only expense for that effect will be the blinking lights and computer screen. I wish they'd named the boy Alistair or Harry, but I suppose Alistair is too old-fashioned and they were afraid Harry would remind everyone of Harry Potter. I'll probably check it out again when the series begins its regular run.</blockquote>
