[QUOTE="Kishin, post: 4869824, member: 40956"] Remembered a thread a few months back where a few folks displayed some interest in the Anima RPG, so I figured I'd post a bit about the short game/introductory I'll be running at GenCon. I'll edit this thread as soon as a concert time for the game is nailed down. I didn't toss it on the official RUBI schedule, mainly because I felt it unfair to charge folks. Anima: Roar of Heaven (天の咆哮) For the past two months, the forces of the Azur Alliance under the command of the Arbiter Dandalion have waged war on the savannah nation of Kashmir, seeking to seize control of the savannah nation vast natural resources. In a desperate effort to prevent the Alliance from seizing total control of the Principality without igniting an open armed conflict, the Sacred Empire of Abel has taken to covertly funding a counter insurgency of mercenaries and free agents tasked with the disruption of the Alliance's military campaign. Though initial encounters between the two factions have led to the first series of setbacks the Alliance have encountered in their campaign, Dandalion's forces remain undeterred. Now, deep in the rain-soaked Sharanya Mountains, the Alliance arms the first of a series of superweapons capable of bringing a swift, decision end to the conflict, and shifting the balance between Alliance and Empire forevermore. All that stands in their way is a single patchwork unit of mercenaries from across Gaia, who, tipped off by an Alliance defector, have launched a foolhardy assault against the mountain encampment.... Three quick points, with potentially more to be added as I think. # Shooting for a running time of 4 hours or so. Standard Con game length. # Level 1/3 characters. (There will be two versions of the adventure, and the one I'll run will depend on player experience/preference). I'll have a good stash of pre-gens (Who will likely use some material from the Spanish books, if people are interested in sampling), but anyone who is interested beforehand is welcome to suggest/submit a character ahead of time. # I don't have as yet have a time picked out to run the scenario. It depends on two things: 1) Interest and 2) Player availability. I figure if people here are interested in playing and let me know relatively in advance, I can set something up. An evening at the Con (Saturday, or perhaps Friday) may be best, as it stands, but I'm open to suggestions.
