Saturday Morning Cartoon Toy Hero Campaigns

First Post
I was wondering if anyone is running any campaigns influenced by 1980's toy hero cartoons. Examples include:

Masters of the Universe
G.I. Joe
Transformers
Thundercats
M.A.S.K.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Some of the things I personally enjoyed about these cartoons, as a youngster, include:

Cool New Enemies
Cool New Accessories
Cool New Playsets
Cool New Vehicles

I'm thinking of starting a new campaign (to be played on Saturday mornings of course) that tries to tap into this frame of mind. Any suggestions? I'd prefer to have a medieval D&D style fairybook tale setting. A little more psychedlic, Alice in Wonderland feel injected with a lot of anthropomorphic races.

Replied to subscribe. I'm very interested in this. :)

Can this idea be extended to My Little Pony? Because there was a lot of adventure in the old series, more than guys probably realize. I think it lends well to a role-playing game.

What system are you looking for for this game Takasi? IMNSHO, D&D is probably not the best fit for something like this. Something looser like Savage Worlds would probably be a much better system.

Again, only my opinion.

I reckon D&D (any edition) could certainly handle a Thundercats-esque game pretty well.

I mean, the characters fall into some pretty decent archetypes, they have a base and go out from it and have adventures - what's not to like?
