In most cases it really make no sense for the gaze attack to be turned on all the time, you could affect allies, flying insects would be falling out of the air around you all the time, small animals would be dropping dead everywhere the creature goes (these last two would probably give you a clue that something dangerous was about) But you may think differently and that's fine and dandy.</blockquote>
